Essential Tools For Entrepreneurs

The job of an entrepreneur is very demanding as we all know. An entrepreneur is someone who organises, manages, and does everything else pertaining to the growth and needs of his business.

And it is next to impossible to expect someone to do all this without any help. So here we are we with some essential tools to help an entrepreneur bring success to the business smoothly.

Google Docs:

There are a lot of times when a lot of people in an organisation need access to the same document for different tasks and it is such a headache if you’ve done the work in MS word Or Excel Or Powerpoint. You have to mail the document to everyone and then they have to mail it back after the changes. Google docs is a perfect solution to this. People who have access can make changes, leave comments or proofread without having to go through that long process.

DropBox:

We all know how important file backup is while working. These technologies are very hard to trust (yes! The irony) they can crash anytime. And with that goes all your data and hard work. Just leave your files here and access them from ANYWHERE. It also enhances user experience with its plugin apps.

Hellosign:

This saves you the task of printing and scanning. It helps you to fill out, sign and share documents and forms, even the legally binding ones. But one drawback to this is- it is only free for upto 3 documents a months.

Calendar:

It is one of the most basic of tools but also one of the most important ones. Be it in the form of Outlook, Google Calendar or a physical one. But it comes with a commitment. Just having a calendar filled doesn’t make sense until you abide by it. Meetings kept aside (because that’s something you won’t miss because of a commitment to someone else) use your calendar to decide schedules, growth periods, self evaluation and all the other things that teach you discipline and help you succeed.

Social Media:

All of us know the importance of social media in our lives today. So instead of making it a philosophical article about how we use it as soon as we wake up and sleep to the sight of it, let’s talk about it’s benefit to business. There can be 2 ways of using social media- formal content and informal content. Rather than choosing one, try to create a balance between the two. Use the formal aspects such as youtube, facebook and linkedin to create a formal space but also use the snapchat stories, instagram boomerangs and facebook stories to portray the raw side of your business. Show your clients or audience what you’re upto in your workplace, what new things are coming up. Make it personalised.

But lastly, the tools will not save you(yes! The irony again). If you are an unorganized person, it doesn’t matter what tool you use, Evernote, OneNote, Gmail, a notebook, whatever calendar system, none of the tools will save you if you have bad habits.

And you need to have is the habit of being resourceful. The most important tool that you can ever have is right here, is you, is your mindset, is your belief system.
